Charcoal gel for inflamed ear on a Lhasa Apso……..
My Lhasa Apso dog has a puffed up ear the DR. drained it this week and now it is filling up again with fluid ,can I use charcoal poultice to cure it. her ear is inflamed. again. can you help with a suggestion thanks keep looking up
It would seem that the charcoal gel would be very helpful for your dog’s inflamed ear.
However, it might be difficult to get a poultice not only on, but to stay on, but do not worry, there is another option.
Watch the short video located below on making charcoal gel out of just activated charcoal powder and aloe vera gel. Apply this generously to to your furry friend’s inflamed ear and then put a cone on her so she cannot scratch it and also to prevent getting charcoal all over the house! Put on fresh charcoal gel morning and night until it clears up.
There are lots of You Tube videos on how to make your own cone, here is one that I found.
Here is a great link that shows how well activated charcoal gel works on animal wounds, check out this nasty brown recluse bite on this horse and see how quickly that charcoal gel can work!
