However, he said there were no directions/measurements for use on the container. Can you tell me the proportions of powder to water? Question: Charcoal for dog with itchy skin

Q: I am new to the benefits of charcoal.  I was reading about your treatment of your dog.  I have a Lab/Chow mix that has repeated itchy skin with the resulting raw skin areas dew to chewing.  I have taken her to the Vet and we have tried everything.(antibiotics, steroids, anti- fungal, medicated shampoos).  After all that, she still has the yeast infection.(that’s what they say it is)  I am desperate.  If I give her some charcoal in her food or water, could it help her to finally heal?  Any other suggestions? Answer: Sure, no problem……however, you know that caffeine is a drug and charcoal will adsorb it….  🙂 Activated charcoal will adsorb most drugs so if you are on any medications you need to run it by your doctor and or pharmacist before taking. Also, charcoal does not work well in the presence of milk so if you add milk or cream to your beverage I would not recommend it (non dairy creamer or nut milks would work). Hope this helped.
